Toby Carvery | Eating out guide
So if you’re anything like me and have made it to 25 years of age and have never had a Carvery you are probably thinking that Toby Carvery the most well known Carvery would not be a very vegan place to visit....
Well call me shocked but when the lovely people over at Toby Carvery invited me over to try their vegan options I couldn’t believe how accommodating they were!
Looking at the menu you have one starter which is soup, 3 mains and 1 dessert to choose from.
The mains are as showed below;
We decided to opt for the Roast Mushroom and Ale pie for our main and then we were ready to order our veg!
One of my favourite things that they offered was to bring the vegetables to the table, rather than us having to go up and see all the meat! This also gave us the chance to ask what has butter in for example without having to scout down some staff!
The veg selection was quite extensive with us having cauliflower, peas, carrots, roast potatoes, mashed Swede (which didn’t have butter in) and red cabbage that was cooked with vegan friendly cranberry sauce! There was also vegan friendly stuffing and gravy available which is just perfect as you really are not missing out on anything!
You really couldn’t want more from a Toby Carvery, and the multiple choices for vegans is mirroring the changes in society becoming more and more accommodating to veganism. I love the idea that children and teenagers growing up who want to go out with their family and friends have the options to go out and eat without needing to be the one who can’t go!
